I did not assert that using text is "the" way to document a multidimensional system. I merely contradicted Yourdon's assertion that procedure "defies written description."

Obviously there are diagrammatic methods that work better than text in some circumstances. That does not mean that text cannot be used. And saying text CAN be used is not the same as saying it is always the BEST thing to use.
