Thanks to everyone for their input! Those are some great suggestions!

I think the problem the director and VP have with the title is that a
business analyst may see the "technical" part and assume it pertains
to computers. Then eliminate the position. I think the technical
part is sort of a misnomer, but I am writing specific instructions on
how to perform jobs, how databases and reports were created, training
programs, etc.

After I presented them with the list created from all of your
suggestions, they decided on Docmentation Project Manager. I really
wanted Documentation Guru. Maybe in the next job!

Yes, I am concerned about those keyword searchers. I don't think I
have ever changed a title on a resume, so perhaps that's something I
need to start doing. It is great to hear from some hiring managers
that they actually do read those bullets I add under the title.
