Wow! You are all amazing with your quick responses.

There are definitely no wrong or right ways. I have
incorporated suggestions from all of you. Once I get
beyond the MSTP "rules" I can begin to develop a voice
and produce consistent online help. I don't feel like
everything is so choppy now.

My "final" version:

(The appropriate words are in bold; however, that is
not displayed here in text format).

To add a widget

1. Click Define A New Widget.
2. Type the name of the new widget in the text box,
and then click Enter.
(indented)Important: Do not use the Tab key or Enter
key on your keyboard.
3. When the Color dialog box appears, click your color
choice from the Basic colors, Custom colors, or Color
matrix. If you want to save a color to the Custom
colors, click Add to Custom Colors.
4. Click OK. The list of widgets now includes the new
widget name and its identifying color. By default, the
new widget is active.
5. If you want to make the widget inactive, click on
the name, and clear the Active check box.
