The interactive version of a command-line utility is typically more suitable
for power users because it provides more advanced and expanded options, and
allows a user to perform multiple tasks more conveniently.
A typical example of a command-line utility that can be used interactively
'and' accepts parameters and options directly from the command line is
nslookup.
I think rewriting it in a format that doesn't use bulleted items at all is a
good idea. Personally I don't think these two different methods are suitable
to be in a bulleted list. And, when you have such a hard time finding a
suitable word, it probably won't get the idea across to the user without
going in to more detail anyway. I suggest starting with describing the
command as most users would use it, which in most cases is not
interactively.
