I had to give up my PDA because I developed repetitive stress injuries from
playing an addictive game (Dungeoneers) on it.

Before that, however, I used it for just about everything: reviewing text on
Doc Reader, keeping track of car mileage, tracking expenses for invoicing,
jotting down notes and ideas. One of the best uses for it was tracking video
shots when I shot training videos or taped presentations; I had a special
program for that which cost me hundreds of dollars less than most video
tracking programs. For awhile I had a telecommunications dictionary on it,
but was running out of room so I dumped it. I had a BART schedule, a map
reader for traveling out of town (where is the closest restaurant to my
hotel room), and a program that stored all my passwords in an encrypted
database. Finally, I had a multi-city clock program that let me know what
time it was in Israel so I could schedule calls to my software developers
for times when they were at the office.

I plan to get another PDA soon, one with MP3 capability so I can listen to
it at work and mask the noise from the talker in the next cubicle.
Sarah
