There's mif2go at http://www.mif2go.com. But it converts files in that
format into Word doc files. You say that you don't want that. Anyway,
they have a 30 day evaluation version and then the regular pay-for
version. They also have a version for unemployed tech writers and
underemployed tech pubs consultants.

Regarding this specific case, a training consultant was in contact with
a documentation department (not mine) that is going to send him
Framemaker files, and he wanted to take pieces of it to build his
training support.
I was also wondering if there was a way to share documentation with
other services (marketing, training...)...Actually, I like the PDF
solution too, but my R&D manager doesn't because it's difficult for
other people to change the content. :-( ...I don't want other people to
change what I am writing !..That's why I am still trying to convince my
managers that Framemaker would be much better for me than the horrible
Word...
