I haven't tried this one, but check out this mouse.

It looks a little strange, but the concept seems valid
and they claim clinical trials to back it up.

I'd expecting a message from Kevin, he'd done a lot of
research and used various products.

I switch hands when things get sore. Right mouse in
left hand, no change in button programming. When I
did desk-to-desk support, I had to learn to use
whatever someone else was using, reprogrammed or
not. It was, to say the least, interesting to see
the variety of ways a mouse could be used.
