I am not sure if a rant with this line of thinking has been posted or
not. But, getting certified in something doesn't mean a whole <heck>
of a lot if the person is not well versed/experienced/whatever.
The reason I point this out is that I am a Certified CPR tech. But, I
have not done anything since the class (which was in college and for
meeting grad requirements for Health). I am also have a CCNA. But
again, I have not used those skills since I finished the Cisco
Networking Academy.
Now would you want me giving you CPR or setting up your LAN? Those
proposed little letters on a resume may or may not mean anything
depending on the honesty or the dishonesty for that matter of the
person. Or just possibly how bad they need a job.
But then again, I am a cynic.
