issue monikers
It seems every senior level tech writer has a pet issue he'd like other
writers to be enthusiastic about. For me it's improving document layout
skills in tech writers--that issue has been fought hammer and tongs for
years until us pro-design types have been given the "font fondler"
moniker.
In that same spirit, we need to find a term for those who tilt at
certification windmills, how about "certifiables"?
Spelling pedants = typochondriacs
TQM lovers = qualitologists
Bosses who deeply scrutinize your writing, replace it with their own, and thereby make the product worse:
micromanglers
any more?
