It's risky, but something I've done in the past was to Google the site
(site:domainname.com) looking for email addresses, names, and titles.
Look for a title that looks promising and directly email that person.
You can indicate that you applied, or not, depending on how you want
to approach it. Use the email as a chance to market yourself, but
don't overdo it.

While I haven't gotten a job the couple of times I have tried this,
both times I got positive responses from the person I emailed.
