Again, we don't know the situation. The director of Quality Assurance
could also be extremely busy and perhaps be doing some hands-on
testing as well.

It all comes down to the basic fact that we don't know the specifics
of why this job was posted in the manner it was, we don't know the
specifics of what they need, and we don't know the specifics of the
company environment. It is, therefore, rash to jump to a conclusion
that they are ignorant of what a technical writer does.
