Wow!  Everyone is totally helpful with suggestions... There's just sooo 
much to think about.  Is a boot loader the same thing as partitioning the 
drive? 

I'd rather be able to swap out hard drives...  Like have one with NT 
4.0/Novell, another with XP Pro, another with Linux (if I ever need 
it.)...  If the files aren't on the computer, I don't have to worry about 
them escaping. Start with XP Pro though since that's all I need right now.
