Glass ceilings are real. Some are created by the prejudices of
other people, some by one's own self-limits. But the thing about
glass is, not only can it be seen through, it is also breakable. If
you're working under one you have to decide whether to try to
put a crack in it or look elsewhere for a place where there isn't
one.
