Why do you, the tech writer, allow it to happen and persist? Or,
rather, what are you doing to counteract it?

Change usually requires proof of concept and proof of return on
investment. No one will OK a blind change.

Um, *I* get the recognition, both in my company and in the field. I
guess I need to turn it back on you to find out what you're doing for
yourself.
