er, well, i do hope you're really certain about this need for screen shots. i generally find them unnecessary at best in my help systems. it depends on the project, of course, but i probably average about one screen shot for every 20 topics in my help systems.

(who responds to the irritating cliche "a picture's worth a thousand words" by saying, "yes, but sometimes you only need 20.")

<br>so, I just left a meeting where the head of development asked when they <br>would be getting the next version of Help to review. He mentioned that it <br>had been a while since they saw the last version (forgive me, I don't know <br>what I was thinking, being ahead of the curve and getting a fairly solid <br>version out earlier than they managed with their code -- but that's another <br>issue entirely). The last version was basically complete. I was just <br>waiting for Code Freeze before I did any screen caps. I explained just that <br>and he said... are you ready for this? "You're not going to put screen <br>shots in? I hate screen shots."<br><br>Um, yeah, I'm putting screen shots in. It's not for you. It's for the <br>users! Ugh. At least it's Friday.<br><br>
