T inquired:
"And you gots a pubs dept. with 5 writers and a pubs manager.
What would you, as the employer (meaning the boss of the pubs manager)
want to get in return for signing your crew up for the STC?"

First off, I would authorize only ONE membership -or- pay for a portion
for all six.

Second, I made a request to my employer, and it was fairly easy. I had
to produce a document on what STC is/does/will do and how those three
items will benefit me and the company.

I, unlike some on this list, do not have any problems with STC. Granted,
I do not read each Intercom cover to cover, but there have been plenty
of times where I find myself doing a search on the website, then
referring to the hard copy if I have that issue.

But to get to your scenario what I would do if I was da big boss man. I
would not necessarily need to see anything. I would look at signing off
on one membership or signing off for half of the costs for the six
people as empowering the employees. And with the access to the
information that STC DOES provide, in my opinion, I would potentially
have more productive employees.

For pro-STC people, is this how you see it?

For non-STC people, I hope you were able to control any snickers while
reading this post.
