I have most often experienced that GA (General Availability) means
*only* that the software is available to all customers with a valid
maintenance agreement and available for purchase to anyone.

The term GA should *not* cause you to believe any of the following:

- The product provides promised features/functionality.
- The product has been tested.
- No known priority 1 or 2 defects exist.
- The company selling the software accepts some liability for the
product and affords some level of support based on the promised
features/functionality.

YMMV,
Barb
