Well said!!

Candidate Impressions/Capabilities

More than the tech writing skills (words on paper) is the capability to get
integrated in the entire spectrum of the 'documentation' being produced and
the Quality Assurance that what is written is right.

Crossing 'organizational boundaries' is a good trait to look for in any
employee. Especially for a 'tech writer' who needs to assimilate many views into
a document.

What is a Tech Writer

In a lot of the comments on this list it is presumed that a lot of the
'whirlers' are involved in the SW business. Is this true?

Did a tech writer write the instructions for your 'highly technical,
electronically integrated refrigerator?

Did a tech writer write the instructions for the toy you kid got at
McDonalds or Burger King?

What about the lawn mower, or other tool you got for your garden?

What about the tech writer that wrote the book of instructions for your new
car?

All of the above is food for thought.
