In my case, this wasn't an issue. I also was asked to take 3 days and
write a 1-3 page document on a subject that they named, though it
took me about 5 hours. The subject was one of the most central
technical concepts to their industry, so I don't have the concern
that they were going to use it as fresh content. Kinda like being
asked to write a test for an ISP and the subject being TCP/IP.

They gave me a web page from which to start my research, though I
could go anywhere I wanted.

I was turned down for the job...a personality thing with one of the
five interviewers, but I'm told the test part was fine.

BTW...on my post a couple of days ago about dressing for the
interview...I went on the interview and I'm expecting to find out
today how it went. When I know, I'll post
