Creating a list of Acronyms in a document using Framemaker

Acronyms must be ALL CAP
It also helps to have IXGEN (not required, but it makes life a lot
easier.) IXGEN is an indexing tool for those who don't know.

1. Create a character style called Acronym and make all settings "as is"
2. Create a marker called Acronym.
3. Do a search in the document using the following regular expression
\<[A-B]*[A-B]>\, make sure you check the "use Wildcards box on the
Find dialog.
4. At the first occurrence of an acronym, make the character style "Acronym"
5. Continue to click find in the search window and at each occurrence
of an acronym you want to find, hit the F5 key to repeat the last
character formatting.
6. If you have IXGEN this next step is easy, you will create markers
of type "Acronym" for Character Style Acronym.
7. When finished Generate an Index of Markers of markers.
8. Again using IXgen generate an Editable Marker list of markers with
the type of "Acronym".
9. Add the Acronym definition to the existing marker text and apply
the marker list.
10. Regenerate the IOM and there you have it, a list of Acronyms and
their meanings.

I'm sure there are a few other ways to skin this cat, i.e. framescript
et. al., but this is the way I did it. If anyone has any suggestions
for improvement, I'm all ears.
