It could be just me, but I don't see the fact that one might use a computer to conduct their daily activities being synonomous with being a "computer professional." The context in which I'm taking the word "professional" here is something akin to the word "expert," but that may not have been what was meant.
I know a great many people who use computers on their jobs all day long, and who are very good at their jobs.......but they know only as much about computers as they need to know to complete their specific work tasks, and no more than that. To my mind, these folks are not "computer professionals."
