The trouble is, that Marketing (and even Sales) so often forgets about the
USER. That's why they need us. All it took was one user (albeit one with
lots of clout) to say the product was too slow, for marketing to get the
message. They would have figured this out had they put the disk in the drive
and started to tap-tap-tap themselves. Engineers often don't do that either.
They just assume that it works as specified.

On the other hand, Geoff, if left to the engineers products might
never ship until they are "perfect."
