Bruce:

When I was a full-time employee, I read the threads I thought relevant
when other people took take a 15-minute break.

I learned Paint Shop Pro by reading the PSP list and eventually, I became
the go-to person when someone needed new graphics or a duplicate button
with a new label.

I would not spend hours reading the list. And I think you have to have a
boss who trusts your judgment in such things.
