I'm a member of MENSA.  I think most people would find that I'm very down to 
earth.  Being 'smart' means I can do stupid things faster, that's all.

Don't knock it until you try it.  Most folks I know that belong are super, 
SUPER nice and they ALWAYS get my jokes.

I'd join all over again for the parties (and chocolate orgies) alone!  Its 
right up my alley to spend an inexpensive, relaxed weekend with friends.  We 
eat chocolate and drink beer while discussing anything and everything that 
comes up.

The regional gatherings are a lot of fun AND I save on my insurance with 
GEICO because of my membership.  There are travel discounts, scholarship 
opportunities and other group discounts available for members too.   For me, 
it is a good investment.
