Mike Hamilton here (RoboHelp Product Manager for Macromedia). Silke tried to
respond to the RoboDemo renaming questions earlier, and something went wrong
and her post ended up going to Usenet. I think that the list is still
expecting her @ehelp address while we have all been changed to @macromedia
addresses.
While she straightens out her posting capabilities I wanted to reassure
people that RoboDemo maintenance plans will definitely be honored. Anyone
holding a current/active RoboDemo maintenance plan will be getting Captivate
as part of that plan. Hopefully Silke will be able to follow up with more
details later, but in the meantime there is a lot of information at the FAQ
page http://www.macromedia.com/software/captivate/productinfo/faq/
The FAQ page includes data about the name change, upgrades, upcoming changes
to maintenance plans and more.
I hope that this helps,
Mike Hamilton

Lisa,
Silke Fleischer, Product Manager at Macromedia, replied on the Usenet
newsgroup. You might want to check it out using a newsreader or by
searching Google Groups. Tersely summarizing what he said (so that it
sounds less like an ad): upgrades are available if you buy after September 3
or if you have a current maintenance plan. So it looks like Joe is right.
