Re: Macromedia renaming RoboDemo
I have inquired about whether or not users who purchased support packages will be entitled to a free version, as we would have received it free if they had simply elected to call it RoboDemo 6 instead of creating something "new". (On their products page, the only information
about upgrades is that both RoboDemo 4 AND 5 users are eligible for a special price of $299. It doesn't mention support package customers at all. By the way -- why should version 4 users be eligible for the same price as version 5 users?)
According to a convo I had with MM sales Monday, they said anyone who
purchases RH 5 after September 4 (or maybe the first?) would get Captivate
for free...well, actually, could download Captivate for free. Otherwise,
she said, people have to upgrade.
