The entries in a TOC generated in MS Word
are automatically linked to the topics. The
entries in an Index generated in MS Word
are not automatically linked.

So let's say
I'm looking at an MS Word document online and
I see an index entry:

kittens, 54

I can't just click on the word "kittens" or
the number "54" to get to page 54. I
have to scroll or otherwise GOTO page 54. Correct?

Let's say I use Adobe Acrobat to convert an MS Word
document to *.pdf file. The *.pdf file's TOC
entries are
linked. But again, the index entries are not
linked.

Question: How do I create a *.pdf with linked index
entries? Also, is it possible to create a linked
index in MS Word?

Please cc: any respondes to eisbruchs -at- aol -dot- com -dot-

Thanks very much for your help.
