While I understand the point you are trying to make, I doubt that switching the server would be a "relatively simple transition." Any decently maintained server (by which I mean one that is kept secure) is a minor work of art, not to be thrown lightly away.

Every now and then, Eric Ray has made a comment about some of his efforts to fight spambots and the other perils that lie in wait on the Internet, and his success seems to speak for itself. The sysadmin of the new server would have to be very expert to provide the same level of service.
