I would leave the career stuff in the resume, and put the relocation
stuff in your cover letter.

Good luck with your search!

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to relocate to Florida, but need a job there first in order
to do it, so I put this as my objective in my resume (below). Please
let me know what you think or if I should only put the relocating
information in a cover letter. Thanks!

Objective

I am a highly skilled technical communicator specializing in web design
and technical writing seeking a permanent or contract position in
Orlando, Tampa, or surrounding areas. My career objective is to
continue my career as a web designer, instructional designer, editor,
technical communicator, or technical writer. I am willing to pay all
relocation expenses and can relocate immediately.
