Yes, though not by reading page numbers but depending on whether a page is
right or left (ie. or odd depending on how the book is paginated). Use the
Master Page Mapping table in the reference section. Map your chapter title
paragraph style to use the "Odd First" or "Even First" depending whether it
falls on a right or left page. Once you get this functionality set up
correctly you can simply "Apply Master Pages" throughout the book (or an
individual doc) to get the correct MPs.

Once you get onto this funtionality, you'll find it can be very useful and
greatly simplifies MP useage.
