They way you wrote it out is pretty much they way I do it in all the
documentation I write that deals with wildcards. Only things I'd add is
that J will find any number of characters, and if there are any
restrictions on case in the search. It's really not a concept that
takes more than a paragraph or two, IMHO. Most people know the term
"wildcard" and can apply it fairly easily.

Hi,

I'm in a bind. I need to describe (in online help for non-technical
users)
how to use wildcareds in a field. Basic idea:
*j* gets all items that have a j somewhere in the middle of the word
J* gets all items that start with J
*j gets all items that end with j.

Anybody done anything like this that might be short, sweet, and
stealable?
