Pending further clarification, I'd like to submit a tentative
dilettantish entry in the lexicon:

bubbameissa Noun.
Etymol: bubba + Meissa. Am Eng root bubba, 1. a proper name,
prob. corruption of "brother". In rustic southern U.S.,
informal or familiar nickname for a male sibling. In wide usage
in late 20th C refers to someone with a narrow or provincial view
of the world . Arabic root Meissa, "the shining one", the proper
name of the faintest named star (Meissa, magnitude 3.5).

Def: Unlikely neologism synthesized of root words from two
distinct language trees (Eng+Arabic) appearing in early 21st C
international technical argot, literally a belief supported by
dim or barely perceptible inference or evidence, typically used
as a superclass encompassing folk beliefs, superstitions,
untested hypotheses, etc. Cp. apocrypha, theory.

*low whistle*

I'll keep this one in the box labeled "First Instance" and give
Dick credit for coinage pending further documentation. Is
anyone adding it to their spell checker yet?
