Actually, I do make allowances when I ask a writer to
clean up another writer's mess. It's the toughest kind
of assignment there is, because not only do you have to
fix the documents themselves, but also the failed working
relationship between writer and developer. The rest of
the "sucks" part, you bet.

I think this particular power is bestowed upon one's
ascension to senior management. I seem to recall some
sort of glowing key floating in mid-air just inside
the door to the executive washroom when I got to peek
