I don't care about PC or non-PC or abject sentimentalism and I don't care
for lawyers. I was (and, in some ways, remain) a Chief Petty Officer in the
Navy. I was directly responsible for between 5 and 30 subordinates;
responsible in ways no one who has never served can--or wishes
to--understand.

I have had to be rough on some people. I did it personally and in private. I
don't seek to put someone down or tell one to 'get over it' in public. This
is a public forum.

I don't mind that others reject my notions of propriety. I think it bespeaks
quite a bit when we feel it's okay to be disrespectful of others. I think it
says a lot if we simply shrug and invite our readers to embrace the healing
power of the Delete button when we ridicule them.

I never liked bullies or bullying, in any form or in any forum.
