Subject:RE: What's the purpose of this list? From:Gordon Mclean <Gordon -dot- McLean -at- mclarensoftware -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Mon, 22 Mar 2004 16:46:57 -0000
I've been an on-off member of this list for a few years now (only recently
rejoined) and have to agree with Wendy.
For a group of people who pride themselves in their ability to communicate
there are an awful lot of badly phrased emails which, whilst they may be
accurate and forthright, are hardly friendly in tone. Agreed that sometimes
the situation warrants a stiff word or two but there does seem to be a
degree of resentment, elitism and plenty of evidence of a closed clique.
No names, no pack-drill but Wendy has a point.
I'll be hanging around though as there are some excellent emails flying
around and I've long since learned how to ignore certain people.
I've only been here a week or so
and I'm astonished at how much negativity and slamming is thrown around.
