Laurel, you might want to check the Acrobat user's forum for some help on
this. (Be sure that you are not looking in the *Acrobat Reader's* forum.) I
recall that this type of problem came up several months ago; I think it was
resolved by changing the line weights and pattern darkness, but don't quote
me on that.
The forum is available through usenet and Google, or you can sign up for
(gulp) daily digests through the Adobe website.
