Does this definition of single sourcing help?

"Single Sourceing = A documentation method whereby
multiple deliverables differing in content and/or
format can be created from a single set of content.
These deliverables can be systematically created and
updated and the content reused without having to
manually edit, format, or tweak the content for each
deliverable."

Also, with regards to RoboHelp and FM/WebWorks
Publisher or Word/WebWorks Publisher, my opinion is
this: If printed output (including PDF) is important
to you then, IMHO, FrameMaker and even Word do a
better job than RoboHelp. If printed output is not
important, the tool choice can be more difficult to
make and you have to weigh other factors.
