eHelp has announced the release of Robohelp X5 today.

Yup, here's the announcement:

Only two months late.

Trouble is, X5 does not YET support Word 2003; a service release is
required and the date for that service release has not been announced (to
my knowledge).

Forget that! John, if I were you, I'd be in my boss's office, telling him it's time to switch to Webworks. This kind of weirdness suggests that the product is in trouble. First there's the problem with Word support -- if each RoboHelp release is tied to a particular release of Word, then they're not using the documented APIs. Then they miss their ship date by two months. And they're still not saying when they'll support Word 2003. Gee, it's only the latest version of the best-selling word processor in history.
