What a marvelously stupid idea!
Hi. I'm a total moron. I need references, but I don't
trust enough of my former co-workers, managers, and
colleagues to lie for me. So, tell you what... I'll
give you $100 if you lie for me. Say we used to be
beer swilling buddies in college, and then worked
together for a while... Better yet, tell them how your
mom put me up for a few weeks while I worked overtime,
on-site, at this fictitious company that just happened
to go belly-up 5 years ago... without pay. ;)
LOL!
I think someone should take the $100, in advance, and
then when the employer calls, say "I have no idea who
this schmuck is, but he gave me $100 to say I know him
and that he does good work. If you want, for $100,
I'll contact him back and tell him the reference call
went well."
ROFL!!!
Oh my! What a world we live in!
