I couldn't agree more about Frame's tools. Arrrrggggh.
I learned Illustrator years ago, when I was doing hardware doc,
but am stuck with Frame tools now. It's like going from a
Mercedes to a Geo...no, actually, I can't think of any car that
could be that frustrating. Well, maybe a Model T, one of those
in Charlie Chaplin movies. <<

Apparently you never experienced the *joy* of using GEM Draw.
The closest comparison I can think of is the far superior
drawing tools found in Word. We produced technical drawings
for use in the shop to build hardware.

This tool was chosen by a pointy haired boss after seeing the
results of my use of MacDraw. He decided that computers were
good so therefore bought a bunch of PC's without evaluating the
drawing tools available at the time, early 80's. We were drawing
by hand at the time. Cut and paste to a form, photocopies to the
shop.

CB - who later found out that the *other* side of our company
was using Interleaf. We thought they were idiots. When we
merged we learned how stupid we were.
