1. Tech-writers have a high reputation -- in *my* estimation. If you want to
know why other people feel differently, ask them.

2. I didn't attribute anything to "blind prejudice." (Toto, Toto! Watch out
for that straw man!)

3. We are all speaking from personal experience. My own positive impression
of tech writers comes primarily from the posts I read on TECHWR-L,
Techshoret, and Word-PC.

I'd like to think that you are right. However, if you are, why do
tech-writers
in general have such a low reputation among other technology professionals?
Even if you attribute it to blind prejudice, something must have created and

sustained that reputation.
