Personal/promotional web sites can be wonderful
job-finding aids, or they could be severe CLMs
(career-limiting maneuvers). On one hand, they give
you the "real estate" to really showcase your work. On
the other hand, they give you the "real estate" to
really showcase your work.

:-/

As with anything, exercise KISS (Keep It Simple,
Stupid) when designing your online portfolio. You
don't want your site to be info overkill, nor do you
want it to show the wrong work to the wrong eyes.

I have no solid advice on how to organize the various
projects you've worked on and are working on. I can
only suggest to figure out exactly what you want to be
doing and put samples that fit that job online on your
"resume site". You could always keep another site/page
for other accomplishments.
