Facetious = attempting humor in a clumsy or often inappropriate manner,
sometimes to lighten a mood, sometimes bordering unintentionally on sarcasm

Sarcasm = satirical humor that has a measure of intent to insult, deprecate,
point out a stupidity, or inflict pain (sarc = flesh, thus as if you're
"tearing a strip out of someone")
