Rowena,
We have flirted with SCORM a bit, and continue to look into it. Below are
the answers we have to date:

<Rowena>Are any of you using SCORM? </Rowena>
Not really, but we are implementing some of the standards.

<Rowena>What were the primary business drivers for implementing SCORM?</Rowena>
Time and labor savings.
No staff increases (That sucks)

<Rowena>How long was the implementation process?</Rowena>
It is ongoing, and not a high priority.

<Rowena>What are the major benefits/drawbacks of implementing SCORM?</Rowena>
Cutting costs by creating modular, reusable training materials. We are
working toward being able to snag modules from multiple courses to build a
new course with a short turn around and minimal editing. Downside is that
one size seldom fits all, but it is close enough to still save work.
Increased standardization in course design.

<Rowena>Has SCORM changed how you work, and in what ways?</Rowena>
We are focused on building lessons rather than entire courses. Or I could
say that we are building mini-courses that consist of a single lesson with
all the supporting materials for a full course-Assessments, self-contained
curriculum, pre-requisites, etc.

Thanks,
Dan Charles
