Well, for every person who may actually *be* out of line, there are usually
3-5 others who overreact to or misread a post. I don't find the need to
police a list ridiculous. I find people's intolerance and defensiveness more
ridiculous than anything else.
This, too, will be addressed by the moderator of the list, presumably Eric. All behavior will be judged by one person. If a reaction is seen as extreme, Eric can caution the poster about this, too.
Again, this is not a democracy. Whatever behavior that takes away from the general pleasant experience of list members will be potential for getting booted off. Eric will probably determine this on a case-by-case basis, guided by the general rules posted.
