In case you're suggesting that this "philosophy"
be applied to this forum, I'll register a dissenting
vote.

For me, it seems absurd to make number three
equal to the other three. Truth and fairness are
usually more important to me than "goodwill." Is
maintaining friendship with a scoundrel worth
suppressing the truth?

Not that there are any scoundrels in the
tech writing community.
