Hi Ted,
All companies MUST have writers. There are numerous advantages we guys
have. I feel that we do not generate direct revenue like developers but we
do add the extra value, which generates the extra revenue for the company.
You can talk about:
· The different areas we affect.
· The difference we add to these areas.
· How a document would look if we have not reviewed it.
· The domain knowledge we possess (not all developers know the entire
product).
· Show 'before & after' interfaces and error messages.
· The reduced turnaround time we offer.

Will let you know if I can think of any more points.
