Hi-tech babble baffles many

Some study found that almost nobody understands
technical jargon, and therefore they may not be buying
new gadgets because they are confused:

Since the US economy depends on consumer spending...
does this mean that by clearing up terminology, tech
writers can single-handedly rescue the economy? :-)

Last night I saw one of those Adobe commercials for
PDF... it was pure branding, nowhere did they explain
that PDF stands for Portable Document Format:

As for myself, I don't even know what an .stm file is.
