Mayur hints at another reason to have a database driving your resume and
that is that we need to track our work, not just from a competency
standpoint, but from a quantified result standpoint as well. As I sat down
to write my current resume, I got stuck wondering just how many help systems
we created in that last job. Translating quarterly goals into quantifiable
results are not something that is going to be memorable after a year or two,
so having a process can help. Keeping track of the information in a database
or Framemaker document means that you won't forget and you will always be
able to quantify your results.
