Hi Bonnie & others,

As I have not yet taken a look at the article, I'm not sure about the
entire context, however, just within this paragraph are several premises for
the metaphor:
- conception
- not static but expanding -
- it was getting bigger all the time

Sounds like a reference to pregnancy? (Just another thought.)
